« Desiderata »,  The urban legend, build and developed around the Max Ehrmann’s poetic page (1872-1945) digital and unstructured experimentation of the picture.

« Montreal-Paris : so far, so closed», letter to my daughter. One hour in the same place, with the same frame, in one street of Montreal city, slide show of  crossing Canadian people connected with 4 Mosaik portraits. (wall sizes 1m70 X 1m20) puzzle portraits – pictures of my Parisian world. Filmed and digital amalgamated works.

MY LIFE EXPERIENCE

I learned photography at school, I.N.F.A.C – C.R.E.A.R (Photography, video, and sound) Cinema and Sociology at Vincennes University, then I was assistant with different advertising and fashion photographers in Paris. I learned a lot about light in studio. How to do some  special light, how to change it, move it, and try new ideas. But now, I have a digital Canon, and my very good pleasure is to mix, and see according the time, witch camera I will use.

Because I was not rich, I was photographer, and did many jobs too, ( my best jobs were working for cinema for sure) This is one of the reason I did 3 short movies. And still very interesting for a long one, I am writing on it now.  

For many years I did photographs with films,….I just took scissors, did collage and photograph the unique picture before destroy it. Sometimes, I painted or wrote on the picture, making an original and single work. I made chimical experiences on the ektas.

But here starts a new time : after my trip in Canada, Montreal, and USA, San Fransisco, I decided to do a whole work on computer. A thing is sure : I will never stop to experiment with or without computer, and will mix technical digital work and  manual art work.

In 1986, I came in the group of artists “Le Genie de la Bastille” which is the name of the statue, on Bastille place. I did projects, installations, exhibitions in France or abroad. (Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Korea, Chile, and USA, etc…). I worked as free lance photographer on many different things : documentaries, fashion, advertising, portraits, movies, etc…

In the same time I never stopped to experiment for myself different ways to practice  photography. I am never bored, because I am always curious to learn new things. I like to mix technical ways too : painting, writing, and computer experimentations.

I always felt different cause I was alone to educate my 2 children. I had to stop documentaries trips (a big decision) when they were babies… and decided to work in a photographer studio witch needs more precision and definitively learned me to sculpt light.
